Cafe de L’Opera was established in 2008 by a French antique trader in Financial District of San Diego at 5th & Ash street. Current location at J street was established in 2013 . We are the oldest bakery in Downtown San Diego known for our famous fresh bakery items baking several kinds of croissants, pastries, cakes, and desserts. We bake in house all day and all of our pastries are baked fresh! We are located right in front of famous San Diego Petco Park Padres Stadium entrance at 9th J outside Gallagher Square.

Been coming to this downtown cafe for years and can't get enough of the relaxed European atmosphere and delicious food and baked goods. Definitely our favorite breakfast spot in town.
